For example, a fake audio clip of Joe Biden was used in calls to voters in New Hampshire, telling them not to vote 🤪. Experts think this is a big danger to fair elections and people’s trust.
- Election Interference: AI can be used by both local and foreign groups to mess with election systems, like voter databases and voting machines. It can also influence voters opinions. In 2016, international hackers used AI to hack the democratic national committee’s network and spread doubt about the election. Mainly it will use by social influencer
- Algorithmic Bias: AI systems can be biased, which means they might accidentally favor some candidates or parties and ignore others, potentially leaving out certain groups of voters.

Before the Democratic National Convention, Trump shared a fake image of someone who looks like Vice President Kamala Harris speaking at what looks like a communist rally in Chicago, with a red banner showing a communist symbol. This is one example of how AI in elections can be misused to spread false narratives.
Former President Donald Trump also shared a fake video of himself dancing next to Elon Musk, who supports him, even though it never happened. This is another case where AI in elections is used to create misleading content that can trick voters.
Just before the convention, he posted a Taylor Swift AI deepfake image in an Uncle Sam outfit, pretending she endorsed his campaign, but she never did. How To Stop AI In Elections?
- Tight Security: Keep voting systems and voter databases secure with the latest technology to block hacking attempts this is the main point as per my understanding of AI in elections security needs.
- Fact-Check Information: Don’t believe what you see first verify it always. Promote fact-checking on social media platforms to stop the spread of fake news and AI-generated content.

- Hold Platforms Accountable: Make social media and other platforms responsible for tracking and removing harmful AI-generated content to protect public trust.
Strict Policy Against AI Content on Social Media: Social media platforms need strict rules to control AI-generated content.
